Global retail fashion brand are looking for a retail merchandise planner to be based at their head office, acting as business manager for part of their product portfolio and working cross functionally with buying, allocation, merchandising, marketing and visual merchandising teams in order to translate the buyer's vision into profitable results.
You will create seasonal collections to meet sales and profit targets across both the retail and e-commerce channels, using the most current trends combined with evaluations of the business performance and company direction. It will be your job to ensure that the nature, quality and timeliness of product is consumer focused, supporting the brand strategy.
Accountability's:
-Creation, review and presentation of class plans seasonally
-Analysis of sales, stock and profitability performance
-Development and execution of cohesive markdown and promotional strategy
-Development of profitable exit strategies for discontinued and dead stock
-Providing critical analytical support to the buying team, developing a strong partnership to understand vision and direction
-Understanding consumer and buying trends
-Monitor and evaluate OTB, facilitating weekly OTB team meeting with Buying, Planning and Allocation
To be successful in the role you will have a track record in retail merchandise planning with fluency in English and preferably another European language, although this is not a prerequisite.
