Job Title: Web Designer
My client is seeking a Front end Web Designer. A key role which involves creative thinking, coupled with excellent design, web infrastructure knowledge and expertise in order to produce beautiful working websites for new and existing clients. You will be working on the following services:-
• Sales of Web design services • Sales of Web marketing services • Sales of Multi-media and video services (as well as other third party services) • Sales of CMS Software licences and services (recurring revenue model) • Sales of Training services (new)
This role would be suitable for someone who wants to take the next step in their career to a Web Designer position or an extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable graduate.
Ideally you will have worked for design agencies delivering online web and email solutions, branding and marketing material.
Your Job
Web Designer - Key Responsibilities
Working as part of the Design and Delivery Team on website projects the Web Designer will work with the Project Manager and the designers to develop functional modern working solutions. Specifically to:
• Translate design concepts in to working solutions to display in all modern browsers and popular devices across a variety of platforms. • Review and testing of all sites to ensure best practice and compliant standards are adhered to.
Web Designer - Experience and Skill Sets Required:
• Adobe creative Suite: Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign / Flash. • Working knowledge of web technologies: JQuery / HTML / XHTML-MP / XHTML / JavaScript frameworks / CSS stylesheets / PHP • Experience with popular Open Source content management systems and blogging platforms such as WordPress • Working within a CMS • Abreast of latest technologies and online web design and development trends • Articulate and with a professional appearance and manner • Good organisational and planning skills - ability to manage own work schedule and ensure that deadlines are met.
